Ø The desegregation is one of the struggles of the President J.F. Kennedy, in the early 1960’s the daily life of the black American population is made of inequality and discrimination in many areas. The struggle and contestation of the civil rights moment eventually resulted in laws. The HELP is a story that takes place in the Mississippi during the 60’s. Kathryn Stockett in her novel, tell a story of a surprising duo. This odd couple is composed of white women who is Skeeter and black women who is Aibileen. Skeeter is a pretty girl who is different than the other women. She is very open-minded unlike the other girl of her age. She is ambitious and she comes from the upper-class. Ø We all love this movie, we can establish a parallel between ourselves and the characters of the story, and it’s a moving story. Its catch us thanks to the fight of the maids.
