Ø   The desegregation is one of the struggles of the President J.F. Kennedy, in the early 1960’s the daily life of the black American population is made of inequality and discrimination in many areas. The struggle and contestation of the civil rights moment eventually resulted in laws. The HELP is a story that takes place in the Mississippi during the 60’s. Kathryn Stockett in her novel, tell a story of a surprising duo. This odd couple is composed of white women who is Skeeter and black women who is Aibileen. Skeeter is a pretty girl who is different than the other women. She is very open-minded unlike the other girl of her age. She is ambitious and she comes from the upper-class. Ø   We all love this movie, we can establish a parallel between ourselves and the characters of the story, and it’s a moving story. Its catch us thanks to the fight of the maids. The film wants to be striking, moralizing and thinking about human conditions more exactly of the black conditions ...

Synopsis The help is a movie directed by Tate Taylor based on the novel of Kathryn Stockett. The movie came out in 2011 in USA. The scene takes place in Mississippi during racial segregation, in 60'S. The main characters are Skeeter, the main female white, she wants to become writer. Aibileen is a black woman, she is warm hearted and ill-treated by her employers. There are others characters like Minny Jackson, Celia Foot and Hilly Holbrook. In the movie the situation is very difficult because the problem of segregation put barriers between blacks and whites. To solve this problem, Skeeter interviews blacks women who have spent their lives taking care of prominent southern families. Althougt, in the historical context, to solve this problem the president John Kennedy fought against the racial segregation. In the city of Jackson, Mississippi, during the segregation between blacks and whites, Aibeleen Clark, an African-American  maid,  tells her life and facts she was confronted with in the book of Eugenia “Skeeter” Phelan who dreams to become a writer. During the movie, Skeeter meets a lot of persons such as Minny  or Yule May who are other maids. Elizabeth Leefolt who is Skeeter’s friend and Aibeleen’s employer, hates black  people. The main characters are Skeeter Phelan she is young white woman. Who wants change the life condition of black maids, through the writing. There are too two domestics women. Their names Aibileen and Minny. They are friends. They look partner. The black maids are dominated because they are afraid to lose their jobs. Without this hard job, they can’t to be in charge of their child. Finally, there is a clan of incorrect white women whose mistreated maids. On the one hand, the main character is Skeeter, an independent white young lady, who belongs to a social group which is really wealthy and where most of women are racists. Even if Skeeter comes from the upper class, she isn't like her friends or her mother. Effectively, she wants to become a journalist. Her determination and open mind will help her. On the other hand, there are the black maids, who are segregated and obey white employers' orders. It's the reason why, Skeeter wants to change. This movie is inspired by the book written by Kathryn Stockett, the name of which is The Help too. This movie deals about racial segregation in 60’s in Mississippi in America. It’s a real story, the historical context is marked by the black people’s inferiority, the mistreatment done by the white people to them. It’s an emotional movie and its aim is to touch us on the black maids’ horrible working conditions. The story is about Skeeter a young American writer. She decides to write a novel with the maids’ testimony: she wants to open the eyes and denounce racial segregation in the South of America. The Help is a movie who has been directed and written by Tate Taylor in 2011. This a drama film because through this film we can see the horrible working conditions of the domestics during the 60’s. Indeed, in this film there are Aibeleen and Minny who are two maids in Mississippi.  Aibeleen works for Elizabeth and Minny for Hilly. At first, when Minny was fired she decided to go and work for Celia Foote. Thereby, Skeeter decided to help the black maids by writing a book so as to denounce their horrible condition. After the book was released, There is been a scandal because the white women were shocked while the maids felt supported and loved. This movie allows us to be aware the segregation during the 60’s. It shows the courage of black women because they are really mistreated by the white people. The story deals with a young white woman, named Skeeter who is a journalist. She imagines this story to denounce the segregation between black maid and wealthy women about the horrible working conditions of the domestics during the 60’s.  Skeeter wants to write a book, about the domestics. For that she interviews, firstly two domestics Aibileen and Minny. Finally there are a lot of maids, who accept to tell their story. The help is very moving; but it’s surprising because it’s a mixt between humor and drama. It is interesting because it shows the truth of the maids’ life during the 60’s. Their lives were very difficult because their working conditions and the treatment by the white women like Miss Hilly.
